What’s next in Star Trek? We don’t know…

1 12 2010

EW.com, yesterday, posted a story by Darren Franich, in which Star Trek screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, while commenting on the upcoming sequel to 2009’s re-imagining of the Trek universe, deliberately chose not to reveal any specifics of what the new movie will be about. However. as Franich pointed out, there are a couple of things that you can draw from the pair’s comments.

You can read the article here.

Here’s my take on the work Kurtzman and Orci have done on the world of Star Trek:

Although I was worried when news first came out that Kurtzman, Orci, and director J.J. Abrams were going to work on the return of Star Trek to the big screen, I was very pleased with the work that the three did with the new Trek universe. And as I had noted earlier in this blog, the time travel factor in the 2009 film opens up a whole new set of directions that could be taken in this universe, and it will be interesting to see what direction is, in fact, taken.
