RIP Bob Probert…

5 07 2010

Wow…sad news in the world of hockey today.

Bob Probert, one of the National Hockey League’s best enforcers, passed away today at the far-too-young age of 45.

For more details about Probert’s NHL career, see this article from The Windsor Star.

Probert’s name also goes down in history in Toronto hockey. ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun tweeted that back in 1999, Probert had scored the final NHL goal in the history of the famous Maple Leaf Gardens, just shortly before the Maple Leafs took up residence at the Air Canada Centre.

Bob Probert is survived by his wife and four children.

Rest in peace, Bob…
